Another Update on E

I know it's been a long long time since I've blogged. Lots of reasons for this including the intensity of E's care and the fact that I had trouble doing blogging from my iPad. E is doing pretty well. Surprising us all constantly. She's rolling all over the place, scoots on her back, and is starting to push up onto her knees.
Unfortunately, the tubes in her ears are already failing, so we go in for surgery Monday morning for a new set. Potentially bigger tubes too which would more than likely result in permanent hearing loss to some degree. But continual ear infections can also lead to hearing loss, but with more pain.  I never dreamed I would have to make these decisions for my child. I always thought parents who went this route just didn't try enough alternative approaches and were overreacting. And maybe people now think that about me.  Probably.
E is still a peanut as we struggle to get her growing. At 7 months old she is only 12 pounds 11 ounces. If she were three months old she'd be in the 50th percentile if that gives you some frame of reference.
She's such a happy happy girl though. Smiles and laughs all the time. Loves big sister. A lot. She's super social and likes to "talk" by blowing raspberries (she even does it in her sleep)!
